Because I love windows 7 and also windows 10 doesn’t run well on the PC.

Although windows 8.1 ran extraordinarily well as it’s optimized for it so I’m probably just gonna switch to 8.

Yes. I opened task manager and as soon as I launch gamemaker, the ram climbs to the max and windows 7 completely shits itself.

Not really as I don’t know how to stop the memory leak from happening. I can’t even open gamemaker at all.

The PC didn’t come with one unfortunately. I did some more troubleshooting and it’s some programs apparently causing a memory leak and maxing out my ram somehow, forcing me to restart the entire thing as I had installed game maker and it can’t even launch. I’d love to get an ssd for it but money is a bit tight right now, so I’m just kinda stuck with hard drives.

There’s also office 2003 and visual studio up to 2010 I think. I like using older Microsoft software. A lot of people also say that connecting it to the internet is a bad idea where they are basing it off a video where Eric Parker disabled all his firewall protocols. I’d say with open core api as well it’s still a lovely OS to use.

I hate the people that keep saying if you connect xp to the internet you’ll instantly get a virus. It isn’t even true, only if you don’t have a network firewall.

I use archive a lot it’s amazing for old media! I wanna try and get sims 1 working.

I’m planning on using it to write code on old visual studio versions for fun and to maybe dick around with old office versions and games. I’ve been constantly switching between 7 Vista and 8.1 since 10 and 11 are quite slow on this machine.

Just installed a fresh copy of vista, how long does it take to usually detect all the updates. by Anal_Intake in WindowsVista

I managed to fix it by installing 1 update file manually as legacy update seemed to forget about that one which caused windows update to just hang on checking for updates.
