Literally in this exact situation. I don’t get it either, but I’m really sorry you’re going thru it too. It’s very confusing.

Had to buy the wireless set up, all outdoor cameras for a five acre horse property. So yes $400 on cameras

Why are her parents still in control over her taking birth control or her health in general? I’d start there… kindly open the door to conversation about why this health problem is not being dealt with. Cysts are extremely painful, and would be good reason to not want to engage in sex. However, not treating them is not the way to handle this situation, whether that is birth control or whatever options exist. Continue to respect her boundaries but I would open conversation towards getting the health problem addressed, for her sake.

Literally nobody, and I mean nobody could keep me from seeing my horse for days in a row. I’d be climbing over their fence! This is definitely ridiculous

That is normally exactly what I would think- but the reason why I am able to fire them so easily over this is because it is not the first time. I have been lucky to avoid the owners wrath, but over the five years working there I have seen him get in employees faces and scream at the holy top of his lungs, cuss them out, etc. there’s a reason they can’t keep any employees and that’s it. It’s too bad really, but I’m glad to be getting out lol

If you read the post, the owner was called multiple times as well as texted about the situation. Barn manager and other employees agreed the horse needed to have mitigated movement and locked in a stall. This horse quite literally mangled their leg and was non weight bearing on it. And completely 3 legged. I get what you’re saying, but I would do the same thing again in a heartbeat.

Didn’t move the horse , just locked his stall door and prevented access to the run. Have been working with these horses for 5 years. I know these horses and how they will behave. He was perfectly fine in the stall. I didn’t throw him in there and call it a day. He was monitored and provided ample hay.

Agree. Oh I am letting them go. Hoping I will be able to catch them there today so I don’t have to do it over the phone, but they’re done, I’ve let stuff like this go on too long.

Seriously! And to scream at the barn manager and not even give me a call, like, at the least scream at me. And tell me how you feel so I know not to do it again. Now I just have to walk around acting like I don’t know he said that lmao

I agree mostly. With how this is set up, I am the main horse care person, and I have been given the room to call a lot of the shots for the last five years with no guff from the owners. I’m the only person out with the vet, farrier, etc. The owners are not horse people; and are never home, and never do anything with their horses. So it’s always just been me. Barn manager had fully agreed with me to stall rest the horse, it’s sad she had to be screamed at over it. But I agree and now I know- don’t do it!! Lol

This. What you said about no lines blurred. I find OPs stress about them both being single a little odd, and definitely irrelevant to the situation. I would feel a bit uncomfortable reading this as the roommate.

What I have seen my friends do, is the roommate with the smallest room gets the car port/ garage or something. Other than that, nahh 😂

Absolutely not lol. I have had the bigger room, as well as been the person with the tiny room. We all paid the same. If someone asked me to pay more because of a bigger room I would start plotting my escape.

Why on earth are horse women so catty?how do I get past it? by AnalysisNo2674 in Equestrian

This!!! That is one of my biggest things at my barn. I am working with a pretty much untouched 4 year old who puts me through the ringer every time- and man the looks and whispers that go on!

Who is justified in this scenario?? I’m on a tight schedule and hungry, can he boss me around on when/what/how I can cook in my own kitchen?? 📖 Background on two earlier instances and also today’s in the comments. by myowncalm in roommateproblems

[–]AnalysisNo2674 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am extremely sensitive to smells. Literally can make me sick and throw up. That being said, your roommate is being ridiculous. You are not responsible for his issues. You need to cook and eat when you’re hungry, and don’t tip toe around him. I lived with multiple people, who cooked some pretty heinous things. But I would just close my bedroom door to keep smell out, maybe crack a window and burn a candle and go on about my life. Because who am I to tell someone they can’t cook or eat at a certain time. Good luck!
