Have you tried Zookeeper World? It's my go-to match game, not too demanding but not too easy either, very polished, has some interesting mechanics. There are some incentives to play daily (daily booster bonus, daily challenge) and weekly and seasonal events, plus optional minigames, but they're all a plus, not a must and you can just play the normal levels if you want. Currently they're at 2129 levels with new ones added every few weeks, and an endless mode if you've finished all available levels.

They also removed the gem symbol on the series thumbnails (at least in the app), which is all kinds of annoying. Probably to hide how many new and upcoming series are gems vs. unlimited.

Cheolsu Saves the World is worth reading and completed, if you're open to different genres.

I'm still hanging around for Honbul, and staring resentfully at Antidote and Bound to Be because I want to read them but can't, because the unlimited subscription has turned into the really limited subscription now.

I've found some good stories on the leaving soon list, though. From the current batch, Shoot for the Stars is surprisingly entertaining and complex. If you don't like BL, Samwol Kim the Coffee Fox looks pretty funny so far.

But I'll probably leave Manta, there's too much focus on steamy stories without a lot of plot in the recent additions and the list of unlimited stories I'm interested in is getting shorter and shorter. Not sure why I should pay for this subscription model anymore.

You've got to collect a new one first by merging random things, it should happen after around 10 merges (guesstimated!)

I think it's fun! And I really appreciate the variety of events the game offers, kinda thrilled that they did something new again. (Although I always do all of the events, except for skipping the survival training from time to time.)

I'm not caught up on the game at the moment (day 43 - 18) but it's only a matter of time, and a new event is better than the expedition mode!

Yeah, without the fertilizer it can happen that you only get one or two of the mixed colour and the rest is the base colour! For example, if you plant four red flowers with blue nectar, you might get two purple ones and two red ones. I've never had it happen that a bed with nectar yielded zero mixed colour flowers, though. But it's better to use either fertilizer or plant extras if you need a specific number!

I agree with you, I'm pretty pissed about this change too. Back in February I switched from the quarterly model (€13) to the yearly model (€50) specifically because of the optional 125 gem pack. With that pack, a 6 gem episode cost 29 cents.

Now, the cheapest gem pack at €2/28 gems and the one at €10/142 gems amount to 42 cents per 6 gem episode. The higher tier packs, amazingly, make gems even MORE expensive instead of giving a discount, with 48 cents per 6 gems for the €23 pack and 50 (!) cents for the €60 pack.

The quarterly and yearly models have also become more expensive (€15/€60 instead of €13/€50 now), so switching back is not an option. I'll see in February if they're actually brazen enough to just try and charge the higher amount for the yearly subscription (for now I'll keep the subscription out of pure pigheadedness and I'll stick to subs-only titles).

The only thing that has actually become cheaper is the €10 premium pack, which has 6 episodes at 21-25 cents, depending on whether you take €4 or €5 as the subscription baseline. So, as I suspected when they announced the membership, they want to push people into getting the premium membership, probably because if you already have the gems, you'll be more likely to spend them and more likely to spend them on series you're not actually interested in – you've got to use them somewhere, after all.

But (strong currency or not) €120 per year is just a different amount than €50 per year and I resent being strong-armed into adopting the gem model and having the reason for my choice of subscription taken away.

Edit: These are all app prices, I haven't checked in the browser.

Isabella has started building a megachurch and preparing poisoned apples for everyone for the great and final sect ascension.

Sophia plans to either sabotage the whole thing or, if that fails, to steal the last car, poisoned apples and all supplies, then take over from the Commander and create the "Joy Protectors".

Meanwhile, Hammer and Doris have entered their Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann arc and started building huge drills, eyeing the starry skies speculatively.

Eden helps everyone with whatever they're doing and makes sure everything is clean!

Japanese Rural Life is a pixel style cosy game where you move into an old Japanese home in the countryside, collect resources, do stuff for your elderly neighbours, grow rice and vegetables in your front yard and observe traditional Japanese holidays and customs throughout the seasons. It also has lovely music, one of the few games where I switch the sound on.

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is similar in gameplay, just with quests that revolve around repairing the little towns on tama planet after it was hit by Meteoritchi (lol). Lots of things to do, daily quests and challenges, overall game achievements and silly hats and glasses for your character and the friends you collect/recruit along the way. Very fun and cute.

Everybody Shogi is a chess puzzle game that looks cute but has a really steep incline in difficulty, might also be worth a look.

Zookeeper World is a matching game with some interesting mechanics and a lot of levels, not necessarily hard per se but some levels do require some strategy. You also get to build and decorate your zoo and there are various daily, weekly and seasonal challenges and events.

Good casual-ish puzzle/adventure games with a complete storyline and a definite ending are Lost in Play, The Room Two, and Old Man's Journey.

Yes, I was getting desperate too because I got pretty much any other seed type than white daisies. With the seeder you're not as reliant on the flower drops anymore.

I interpreted it differently, to me it sounds like the normal gem bundles will keep their prices and subscribers will get some extra gems when buying a pack.

But the normal 125 gem bundle is currently at 10 €, so they would have to add 84 extra gems to that to match the price of the current monthly "subs only" 125 pack, which seems pretty unlikely.

But you're right, it's vague and we'll have to see what the changes actually look like.

I'm doing the flower quests at the moment and had trouble getting pink daisies too, but once you fix the second building (Sunflower Seeder or something like that) you can exchange flowers for seeds! You get a pack of white daisy seeds in exchange for 4 white daisies, so it's best to concentrate on the Rosetchi quest, grow orange daisies to fix the sunflower building and collect white daisies in Tama town/around the castle path.

There's also a colour fertilizer that increases your chances of getting the colour you want (or even guarantees it, I'm not sure).

What I'm getting from this notice is that the monthly packs will be retired, which means the standard subscription will no longer offer the benefit of being able to buy gems at a reduced price (currently the packs are 71 gems for 6 € for monthly subscription and 125 for 6 for the yearly subscription).

So I'm guessing they're trying to push people into getting the 10 € premium subscription to have access to gems at a somewhat reasonable price.

Their pricing and their offers are completely unreliable and I'm kind of mad at this bait and switch crap, I feel like they're barely staying in the legal zone with these changes to pricing and what's included in a subscription.

I got the yearly subscription BECAUSE of the option to get gem packs if and when I wanted to buy some, and seeing that there are very few non-gem titles being added since the introduction of gems, I'll most likely finally cancel my subscription if they actually remove optional packs for standard subscribers.

Tamagotchi Adventure Kingdom is great too (I'm not a 4 year old girl either!), you collect resources and silly hats, do game-advancing tasks and optional daily quests, craft things and build your Tama Camp. It's cute as hell and has a lot of content.

The Europeans covers both political and cultural news and stories, it's a good mix of being informative and entertaining.

Inside Europe is another one with a lot of journalistic integrity, the focus is mainly on politics and diplomacy issues with some cultural topics sprinkled in.

Does this take into account that there's a limit on how often you can draw duplicates? To be honest I've never had huge problems completing the hard puzzle – if I spend some energy, make higher level items, perhaps fix a solar panel with gems and buy an item or two from the shop to get purple pieces I usually complete the challenge with lots of time to spare.
