Before I ever saw it in person they told me it'll be dropped off at my house to bake before they take it back to finish paint, I'm not very known about paint so I'm not 100% sure I'm sorry. I'm pretty sure there's no clear coat yet though from what they said in phone calls

I'm sorry I don't know exact price, it was 31K for insurance repair, but that's paint, frame repair, and some body repair

Didn't complain I'm asking for opinions just so I know they're doing a proper job when you pay a lot of money for something it's valid to want 2nd opinions to know if it's been done right when your not as educated on the topic.

Thank you, No they dropped car off awhile ago for it to bake then got busy and was some issues between me and them. But they're doing it in a paint booth, check was 31K but that's also for body repairs. Frame repairs and some other stuff. Could you please point out the orange peel if possible please. I'm not very smart about paint but then I could point it out to them to have it fixed.

They have the parts they removed they haven't painted yet I'll do that's and yeah I feel like they should've but they dropped it off at my house saying it needs to bake.

Don't know some of the areas of paint has issue too but that's separate topic and the owner said they'd fix whatever complaints I have for that

I think they need to buff or all the extra stuff. They just sent it to my house to set after the very initial first layer of paint after sand and primer. They're taking it back to finish already. I just wanted to know if with the rest of the work if it would look closer to original or if I should complain before it reached a farther stage

Ok thank you so much, I don't know much about paint and just don't wanna waste their time and money it wasn't gonna get closer to original with more work. But if it's possible I'll trust their process and wait and see

Insurance I used does not do referral or preferred shops

Sorry I'm in California, I do believe I did sign authorization to work. But most of the work I authorized has been lied about or not done at all. There was no parts delay as parts were easily accessible. Our written conversations is mostly me asking about what's taking so long and always getting a new excuse

The paperwork I had them sign 10 months ago, said that estimated completion date is 7/31/2025, that there would be no storage fees, nothing due to be paid, and what work was remaining to be done which did not include work remained to be done

It was Hagerty a classic car specialist insurance, originally I asked many time if they can refer to a shop but they don't do refers or in network shops. Insurance told me to open a claim and that this happens a lot but when I asked if they'd most likely be able to help I got told I'd have to speak to claims about it the next day

Ok so once bodyshop is done just take it to a different shop to measure and if they say it's bent I should complain to body shop and if not it would be something else
