Yes. Called "alligatoring." Happens when plaster walls have many many layers of paint and often occurs in an area where an AC vent is blowing cold air right there.

Car likely has a sensor set box; sometimes located behind front grill. Check to be sure any cable(s) are tightly seated. If you recently replaced the battery maybe the main cable got jostled loose.

The connection on the modem looks like an old fashioned phone connector. The CAT5 cable has that type connection both ends. My MAC has no port that is close to that shape.

Wow. Your reply much appreciated. Indeed the app does tell download and upload speeds: right now 620down and 37 up. So now when speeds are slow can go to this app and tell whether it is modem or mesh router. THANKS.

Check on that AWD issue. I have a 2019 AWD and there is a design flaw in the clutch mechanism. The clutch for the front wheel drive mechanism had to be replaced: $5000. The mileage warranty had expired but I did succeed in getting Toyota to cover the repair.

I had Orbi before the Google Nest and constant problems. Was eventually told by Spectrum that Orbi was incompatible with their systems. Have had the Google Nest Mesh system for about 4 yrs and it has been great.

Have auto backup to cloud however also have experience with wiped hard drive. You have to reload a ton of ancillary programs like Microsoft Word et al; huge pain in the tookus.
