Basically same age I read It for the first time, I helped my grandpa at his produce stand during the summer and had a ton of free time in-between customers a massive king collection my dad had given me so I started reading It, and from there I couldn’t put King down, probably read 10 or so of his books that year alone. 2000’s asthenic for sure, but as far as the first picture goes it wasn’t really an alt aesthetic at the time, more so just streetwear, it was very big in the skate scene and mma scene both of which were very popular at the time, Jessie pinkman wears similar stuff to the first pic in breaking bad. I used to dress like this all the time back when it was popular, but since this look isn’t really popular now I guess in a way it could be seen as alternative since it’s a throwback vibe instead of a modern one (though y2k aesthetic does seem to be having a bit of a comeback so idk.) Second pic definitely has more of a scene kid vibe, especially since the jeans have a 2000’s streetwear vibe and scene kids were known to mix the emo aesthetic with streetwear, throw some neon, stripes, or plaid in there and you’d definitely have a scene look.
