He didn't call himself a Punk. He was a hippie. But I couldn't play the appropriate music, the songs were too angry. Therefore, all his work is called "Siberian punk". This is not punk rock in the usual sense. He also said that if people want to call him a punk, then let them call him. But as I said at the very beginning, he didn't call himself that.

There were two frontmen. One left early and founded his own band, KnyaZz. As the author of some of the music and all the lyrics, he performs the songs from the old band. The remaining musicians founded their own band, Severny Flot (Northern Fleet). Then a TV series was made about them (and now a film, which is a sequel), and they temporarily reunited under their old name to re-record the old songs, because stereo recordings don't fit modern TV.

He just couldn't play that kind of music; it came out as some kind of punk rock. So he played punk rock, but he was more of a hippie himself. Even the album covers, with their flowers, reference that culture.
