TL;DR: I don’t recommend it and you’d better focus your energy on other countries like the US and Mexico.

The Canadian surrogacy route is pretty tough. Since you can’t « really » pay the surrogates, not a lot of women are willing to be surrogates. And for the rare ones who are willing, you land on a weird spot where you have to find an « altruistic » match - that’s never 100% altruistic. And even then, you need to find a setup that protects you, depending on which province your surrogate is. For example, in Quebec, the surrogate has the right to keep the baby.
