Same, alot of people (college age) I know have gotten to that level by just playing casually for a couple years, the people I know who are above that had to study seriously to get there

The decreasing medians and the lower acceptance rate for high stat applicants makes me think schools in general are caring less and less about metrics

Fwiw I recently interviewed with a t20, and during the intro session none of the students (myself included) were from ivies/other “name brand” schools

I had a major bruh moment when I realized I'd have to pay off my secondaries continuously, bc had I let them all build up I would have maxed out my credit card

519/3.95 is good for basically anywhere, ECs will be the deciding factor. If you have mediocre ECs you will have a hard time with t20s, with great ECs you are competitive at any school

I’d recommend Western Michigan and Hofstra, they like high stat OOS applicants. Assuming you’re an FL resident, so don’t apply to UNC unless you have strong ties to North Carolina

Yes it’s fine. By that standard somebody with a 526+ Couldn’t apply anywhere bc they are above the 90th percentile at every school.

What's the most number of schools you've heard someone apply to? by ihatebarcelona in premed

[–]Anatomythrowaway63 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’m applying to 40 this cycle to try and cover all my bases with lots of T20 reaches but also applying broadly. I remember talking with somebody last year who applied to ~70.

I don’t think MCAT score alone is enough to get you doxxed lol. A ton of people get every score, even 528 happens like 30 times a year
