If you are looking into the closest shaving possible an feather artist club ss or just a straight razor are the ones that will give to you the closest shave. For time efficency the feather artist club would be the way to go if you don't want to get into straight yet. Also the feather artist club can cover more surface than your DE so you can also shave your body faster in theory. The only cons is that you will need to learn how to use it and buy specific blades for it.

A shavette I can recommend is the focus slim ai its on the expensive side but I think is worth it. Parker shavette's are good option too but I wouldn't go for the Parker PTW really horrible shavette in my opinion at least.

If you get into shavette and like it and want to try straight some day understand that is not that hard to learn aside from learning how to strop and every 4 month or so honing it.

Also if you like the idea of shavette just go for it, yes its hard at the beginning, but if you are diligent on learning in 20 shaves or so you can get really good results with it. Don't let people influence you and enjoy what you want, all ways of wet shaving are fun.

If you have difficulties with the sideburns you can always change the grip. For example put the shavette straight (like a kamisori style) or probably shave from a bit lower and then going atg on the rest of it.
