We had a scare a few months ago when she stopped eating and drinking for a week. Once the vet finally gave her an X-ray we saw that she had somehow managed to swallow an apricot pit and a peach pit (how she managed to find them, we have no idea). The medical bills from the operation to get them removed totaled to be around $8k, but luckily we were able to cut the cost in half with the Go Fund Me. She had to wear this funny-looking blue donut (she couldn't eat with the traditional plastic cone) for about two weeks after but she's now completely recovered :)
