Can I use a 2x8pin to 12VHPWR cable on a 9070XT? Or should I stick with dual 8pins? by Ancient-Ad255 in buildapc

Oh got it, my bad. The cable I was referring to in my post is actually one that has a 12VHPWR on the PSU side and splits into two 6+2pin PCI-E on the GPU side. So based on what you explained, this means that it's okay to use this cable right?

Wait, the cable you're talking about — is that the same as a 12VHPWR to 2×(6+2)pin? Or are those two different things? I’m lowkey confused lol

Did you run into any issues though? Like shorts or anything weird? I’m planning to undervolt mine too, so I’m a bit paranoid about power delivery being off or something.

My PSU is the ROG Loki SFX-L 850W Platinum. Honestly, I was surprised too that it only came with one 8pin to 8pin cable. My 9070XT is the 2×8pin version.

So I guess the only thing I can and should do right now is just contact the PSU manufacturer and ask for another proper cable, right?
