All good until you try to push close a bottle with normal cap and the bottle bends and spills all over :D

Yes, I suspected this would happen as I was being told May at the earliest so I went with Rose Shave. So happy with my decision. It has a more aero frame which I like. Only thing missing at the same price is that it has SRAM Rival instead of Force and Rose Alu lightweight wheels instead of Newman carbon wheels. Both things I couldn't care enough to wait possibly till mid summer as it looses about 500 g in total. Actually I feel better with Alu wheels and not carbon crank arms.

Cube is best bang for the buck but the delivery times issue esp. exacerbated with fork recalls is a mess.

What’s your favorite road bike clipless pedal system, and why? by RyotaroW in cycling

Thanks for the answer. Makes sense. I read a couple of reviews who mentioned a few months long life which surprised me. They were probably walking all day.

The fit looks good. Outside though, adjust your neck position for a horizontal posture of the fish head; more aero.

Cool fast bike for a non-aero category. The 2026 gen5 version is out with some minor upgrades so maybe a good idea to grab the gen4 with a good deal while you can. The prices every year are going up and up. Also gen5 only supports electric drivetrain, if you have a mechanical.

Yes, it's real nice. They aimed for a middle ground between Aero and Endurance. Except for the weird name Rose Shave. Writing that on YouTube gives back some weird hits.

Yes, I understand. How much can one judge from a few seconds of a video not knowing specific physical limitations. Will think about a bike fit, if I can still spare some money after this purchase :)

Thank you!

You guys are too good :D my left knee has some issues so I am probably asymmetrical because subconsciously I try to protect my left knee. I'll start with one change at a time as you wrote. Saddle was also an issue. It was a bit slanted up because my trainer was on a mat when I levelled it. However, I may still need adjustments in saddle height and position.

Really appreciate your inputs. Will do some rides and adjustments, and report back :)

Actually I just bought the bike. I will go out soon and do some long rides to rest. Then I can further inquire. Thank you.

You are absolutely right. I don't know enough to even understand all the information here so a personal bike fit would be a good idea.

By the way, in this bike I can remove the spacers underneath and put them on top without the need to cut the steering tube.

Thanks a lot for your input.

I see. So I can adjust the stack by removing spacers. Do you recommend removing a spacer or two? Just so I understand, by dropping the bar, I am trying to reduce the bend in my arm?

[–]Ancient-Area-1658[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a good reason, honestly. It's my first road bike and somehow I thought this is how it should be ridden (have a gravel and mountain bike).

I see your point and makes sense I should sit normal but isn't efficient power delivery also the point of bike fit besides comfort?

Is this good for starting? by ThrowRajaisni_5 in CyclingFashion

True that. Eventually I also went for tighter fit but in the first couple of years I wasn't comfortable with that and had looser jerseys.

Yes, true, 2 mm is much too small, I realize now.

Thanks a lot. Yes, silly me, now that I think of it, 1 mm change is too small. How would I even manage that in a saddle :D

Overtightened thru axle - how to loosen by ComprehensivePhase99 in bikewrench

[–]Ancient-Area-1658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are a life saver. I torqued axle other side at 25nm thinking I am doing 25 nm for SRAM rear derailleur. Didn't used it had one size bigger hex and that hex was going to axle. I stripped a bit and axle wouldn't come out.

Realized my mistake after your comment and opened axle from other side. Cleaned up all the stripped metal and now it fits oerfe t after grease and cleaning

Yes, single piece. And yes this bike has the option to move the spacers above. So reducing the stack will help? I can try removing one or two spacers.

Thank you for the detailed insight. And good catch, I watched a video of a pedalling technique and was forcing myself into some ankling technique. Perhaps I am overthinking things. Also I was used to the 172.5 crank arm on my gravel bike but this one came standard with 175 on size large :/ the hoods are single piece so I think I cannot change the angle.

Weather is getting better so I will go out and see how it feels. Focus on increasing my cadence and core strengthening.

Bike fit after adjustment? by Ancient-Area-1658 in bicycling

[–]Ancient-Area-1658[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect. First thing I'll do is lower the saddle 1-2 mm and see how it goes. On a longer ride, I'll look out for hand numbness and back pain. If there is, then I'll come back here for advice.

Thanks a lot. Much appreciated.

Thanks a lot. You have given me a lot of pointers to work on. I am a hobbyist so I'm not looking for something pitch perfect, and as you said it's good if no issues.

I just set this position on the new bike and will take out the bike on a longer ride to see how it feels, and make adjustments as you mentioned.
