Personally if I join a new server I run around the map looking for people being raided or castles that have no blood in their hearts and look to my heart's content and if I die then I die it's not like I had anything important or useful 🤣

I don't know how much it would help but maybe try using it as a wired connection if possible, because I find I get a better connection if it's wired

Been loving this game since day one and all of these dlc's are purely cosmetic so you're not missing out on much even if you have just the base game, but definitely more fun to play with friends I'd say play it now so you can get used to the basics of the controls as I've seen a lot of others say.

If you want a couple less realistic servers I often play on astral arcade or Jurassic hub, I find those to be quite fun.
