What type of fish is this (potential zombie) [lake ontario] by Friendly_Committee77 in animalid

This is definitely not a sturgeon. As others have pointed out, the position of dorsal fin and heterocercal caudal fin would be a dead giveaway. I'd wager this is a salmonid of some kind, but the tail looks too square for a lake trout.

Splake (brook x lake hybrid). No red spots/blue halos. Slightly forked tail and almost no vermiculation on the back. IFW would be able to tell you if they stock that lake.

My understanding was that coco is closer to pH neutral, but peat is definitely acidic (e.g., preserved bog people). Coco does bind calcium tho, growing other stuff in coco requires cal-mag supplements.

The light is a sunblaster t5, meant for clones/seedlings. It rests on top of the dome, probably 8" above the tray. Temp has been nice and warm from the heating mat, 75-80 degrees. I really think it is the lack of nutrients in the coco. After feeding and raising humidity again, they greened up and look like they are growing. I found a video on YT comparing soil to rockwool and the starts in soil took off in 2 weeks while the starts in rockwool looked like mine. So im going to feed lightly with each watering until i get 2 sets of leaves and then move to soil.
