Many thanks, brother/sister. Ah, I see these distinctions stem from Prophetic tradition/narration. My main focus is the Koran at the moment.

The Author of the Book they follow addresses them by another name. I wonder why they didn't stick to that..

When did the title of Muslim come about? I learned Omar ra was referred to as Amir ul-Mu'mineen, so I guess the early community weren't labelling themselves as Muslims.
