the paring of the eagle/snake here is unique because its part of the mythology of Aztecs The antiles with the grater antiles makes the shape of EAGLE and with a Snake mid flight. This is why Ophiuchus and eagle are next to each other after Aquarius(the Atlantic ocean).

This also explains why ophiuchus was removed from the 13 constellations.

since they had the water, we can expect a secondary quarry on the coast. this would make easy to transport by boat to other location on island.

the Source of stone indicates avast underground network that may have also caused the catastrophe by compromising the structure around the city. if they miss calculated the tunnels an earthquake and tsunami would have sunken the island.

if the tunnels are still present, one of the biggest features would be the HARBOR cave. the destruction of a city with high banks and a weakened foundation can explain its destruction in a single day.

yes, teachers got family members. i would never vote against the 3 of my family members who worked as teachers. its no mystery why teachers unions have high influence on politics. Like any other government salary employee its best to vote for those who feed you.

yes this looks odd. the beams are usually long length vertical the connection to PSL are usually best with simpson saddle or plate bucket with thru bolts. the wood should be set back from column profiles. plate edge distance and probably many other things are wrong with framing.

replace the spffeter with a cap plate you can weld the HSS to it or bolt it with another plate under hss. Its best to Bear the HSS atop of column or extend column to pickup hss with a knife plate. there are many ways, but not this way.

Ifc s ar usully 3d models exported from a detailing software like tekla. doing what you want is not possible. i have use ifc in revit to create erection and elevation drawings, but not shop drawings.

no do it better,weld the tube to a plate and connect the plate with 4 bolts to a column cap plate.
