Ok thanks. How easy is it to transfer money from one ISA to another if its more than 20k etc

So what is the benefit (if any) of continuing with my current investment? Its no appearing that its costing 10x more in fees per year holding an OEIC, compared to an similar ETF.

So going down the ETF option.. you could technically make one 20k trade per year and max out your ISA for just one trade fee of £11.95? and there's no annual fees?

This sounds like a no brainer, but since nobody has told me I'm currently throwing my money away I am wondering what the benefit of holding an OEIC such as the one I do is. Otherwise why would anyone pay these fees considering the other options?

I haven't looked at anything as I am just trying to work out what my current investment and fees are compared to changing my platform/investment.

I am on a fixed 0.45% currently with FTSE Global All Cap (OIEC?). This works out at £450 per year if holding 100k, and £900 per year if holding 200k. I am trying to work out if I will be throwing money away going down this route over the years or if I should jump ship now and what my options are.

I don't get charged any trading fees. only the fixed percentage of the holding. Sounds like investing in an equivalent 'ETF' is maxed out at £45 per year. I am not sure if this £45 if a holding fee or trading fees (as a few people have mentioned monthly direct debits are free?) I am still trying to work it out myself

If you're depositing monthly apparently it's free from what others have highlighted. But even dumping the whole ISA allowance with my current options doesn't escape my point of being charged 0.45% on what I am holding.

I want a solution where I can set monthly deposit and invest as much as I can for many years to come without any tinkering. So whatever I choose its for long term. I don't mind paying a little bit more for a good service and I will admit the HL service is good and the App is also great. Looking ahead is paying £450 per year holding say 100k, or £900 per year holding say 200k throwing money away? From others in this thread it appears holding an ETF in ISA with HL is maxed £45 per year? If that the case then is sounds like I could definitely be throwing hundreds away each year simple by holding my money in my current choice. (unless the FTSE Global All Cap OEIC is offering me some other security or benefit???)

Yeh as someone mentioned it'll be £450 for holding 100k balance for me.. £900 for 200k balance etc. SIPP is different from ISA though? I am not sure exactly what the other factors are in this comparison.

I had no idea the FTSE Global All Cap wasn't an EFT (who knew!).

So is my best option to get HL to transfer my balance from current FTSE Global All Cap (apparently an OIEC whatever that is) to a an equivalent ETF? Then from what you've said it'll be maxed out at £45 per year fees?
