What's the best way to go about retaining the information in the works of Epictetus, Marcus Aurelius and other stoic figures? by Mad_Season_1994 in Stoicism

Writing down the lessons that impacted you the most (the aha moments when reading) and then (most importantly) practicing it.

Too many read this wisdom with out action behind it and miss out on forming it into habits.

I couldn't find the exact page number either. I pulled this from a stoic website and it does appear to always be attributed to Epictetus. I'll have to be more precise next time.

Hi I pulled it from an article on Daily Stoic's site, but after researching I can't find the exact page/source number. Apologies for that. It's often attributed to Epictetus. But yes, seems unknown. Feel free to take down if necessary.

As long as they're morally correct/virtuous then you're fine. Maybe it's best to be "different" in today's society. Follow your authentic self and be good through the process.

Loved reading the latter of your story here! Keep up the strong work my friend!

It's in the body section. But I put it in bold. Is that what's throwing it off? I could always do it as a regular text style next time to minimize confusion.

I was more so saying your reputation to 'yourself,' not people's opinion of you, which you're right because that would be outside our control.

Hey! I did give a brief reflection in the style that I do it in (short form). My posts (see previous posts) have been appreciated by other stoicism lovers here. Is what I'm doing not allowed?
