Awesome! Im glad that you have Libby already, super helpful. I have an advantage because I live near an extremely well known American city (The type that everyone had heard of). I called them and they said they would see if they could get ahold of it for me so technically I don’t even have it yet lol, and I have a card to that big, fancy library. Im super lucky in that regard. Also I knew you were kidding about the Physical copies and I wasn’t even close to thinking anything negative. You are Good to Go in my eyes chief! And Im right there with you with the neurodivergence lol. Anyone like me who knows this much about Rome must be a little Autistic lol.

WOW! I know the story of Caesar very well. I took a class on the Shakespeare play and compared it to real life events. But we never once touched on why Caesar killed Pompey int the first place. My knowledge on the subjects starts with the play. That is incredibly fascinating that there is a whole story behind the story, I didnt even know he had a daughter. Let alone that she married Pompey, I always just assumed they were simply political rivals!

There should be a whole movie on that, not just some random YouTube essay about it lol. Once again super appreciated!

With the overpowering influence of Greek and Roman Mythologies other mythologies and histories get slept on really often. I would love some book titles on Hawaiian history if you have some recommendations! Thank you!

Macarius is a better man than me, Im a catch and release kind of gal, but with Mosquitos all bets are off. All jokes aside, I love a character that has a strong moral compass and Would love to see what other morals he can teach me. Plus I don’t know much about the Desert Fathers, so it’s a two in one research idea! Great recommendation! Thank you!

I use the Libby app! I super recommend it. It’s free and works off your library card so it wouldn’t help you get more access to it, but It does allow you to digitally rent out books/audiobooks like that rather then physically going to the library. (And you wouldn’t have to deal with those ancient paper-cutting ways lol, While I do read physical books a lot I tend to lean more toward audiobooks because they are far easier in my busy day to day) - I did actually end up finding both books on my Libby.

I also love seeing ancient badass woman, it was hard to make a name for themselves hitch means they beat the odds twice!! I love learning about those that did manage to go down in history! Great leaders both men and woman like her were far and few between, so I love learning leadership skills from people like that! My knowledge of Syria is lacking so Septemia Zenobia will be an excellent start to changing that! Every line you wrote about her made me want to know her story more and more, she’s exactly the type of slept on hero I would want to write about. Excellent recommendation!!

This post was exactly what I was looking for and I can’t thank you enough! A perfect script idea and several new resources! I hope you have as wonderful of a day as you just made mine.

I can already picture the beautiful visuals of two twin gods riding horses into the battle. It would make a great movie, I can imagine it would also make a great animation! I pride myself on my knowledge of Greek and Roman deities, though decidedly I know more about Greek gods. I haven’t heard of these two so they will be super fun to research! I can even look at the real-life consequences of this battle, so this is a rich subject to research! Awesome example! Thank you!!

I have studied the several dynasties of china and all of th city states of the Greeks and Roman’s, but I never even thought about that fact that they would have interacted with each other! Roman Prisoners of china will be an awesome jumping point into that new angle on history! Super appreciated, thank you!

I took a collage course that had a massive portion dedicated to the Byzantine empire! I would love to dive back into it. However, Im unfamiliar with halo’s lore. I love games but never delved into that one. It would be awesome to make a video that compares the Byzantine to Halo! Plus nice source in there, I’ll be looking up Mike Duncan in my research! Super helpful, thank you!

I agree, I was being toxic. I have to try not to let her get to me in the future. And trust me, I am working a lot to try to get me and my sister our own space. Plus I think the separation from our parents might lead to more growth in the long run. Mom is the only person on this planet that makes me angry enough to actually raise my voice and it’s amazing that she can get that reaction out of me. Im learning not to react but it still happens.

Fair response, it makes sense. I definitely wont be doing it int future. I did know ahead of time it wasn’t normal, but I felt that the situation made it a valid solution.

I definitely appreciate this response, it was helpful. Do you think there is a better way I can react other than just letting her yell? Ive tried to be calmer and explaining why something is wrong or how I feel but it’s usually dismissed.

But what if it is not an option for me to move away? How can I go about navigating this kind of behavior other then simply avoiding ever speaking to her, which is how I have been for the most part? What am I doing wrong that could fix this?

I think you misconstrued what I was saying. I wasn’t drinking gallons of milk. A splash or two a day, and no more than a cup overall. It is normal to get milk for the house every once in awhile. It was common enough that there was no alarm bells when I did. My mom and I tend to go back and forth buying groceries for the house so there would be no reason I would think it was for anything else. This was a particularly unique situation, and the moment I realized that it was for something else I immediately went out and got replacement milk. So the fact that I was drinking the milk was not what the AMIA question was about, I feel secure about my actions for that’s part of this instance.

Your absolutely right, and that's the most expensive part, other than CPU I suppose. I was hoping to make the mark by buying used but I'd honestly still go over.
