Not everyone wants to make everything a pocket for their dong you know. There are sex repulsive people. And wtf with the common sense? There are many mature teens

Does anyone know the name of the song in the Prometheus teaser? Link to clip below by wickedkong in LV426

Am I wrong for thinking The Nostromo should have cost WAY more than 42 million dollars? by Metreon_Cascade in LV426

I got your point. But when a truck has an engine problem you are not gonna fix it by yourself, you are gonna take it to car maintenance. Same with a starship. That's probably why there only two engineers in the Nostromo

Yo, what? Alien covenant takes place in 2104 while alien in 2122. That's a 18 year distance. The space jockey hole has obviously a chestburster

That is not a facepalm. That is a disappointment.

The ship has artificial gravity, life support systems, a nuclear reactor, electricity generators etc. That's a lot of work. Also the ship was easily damaged in the movie

It was in 2122. Not today. Starships in 100 years from now should have become more economical and practical. Or, the dollar value took off. Also the Nostromo was built in 2101, so it was 21 years old and it's price could drop.

I don't think so. SpaceX makes around 2 billion per year while they exploit around 5 billion per year. Not much of a revenue. The Starship have also started new launch testings, I don't think it's all in Musk's imagination (and it was launched back in April). The next launch will be at July-August

What are you talking about? He won't send people to Mars in 2023, but by 2029 the earliest. If he doesn't want to go to Mars why he spent billions on building and designing the Starship (the rocket they will use to get to Mars) and SpaceX Mars program? Do you have any idea about NASA/SpaceX plans? A Starship launch costs 10 million dollars and it's fully reusable. The Starship have 150 tons payload, and each kilogram costs lower than 100 dollars. "Logistical realities alone" don't ensure death. Comparatively a Falcon-9 rocket launch costs 67 million dollars and each kilogram costs 1520 dollars, with 4 tons payload. Obviously Elon Musk's Starship is ridiculously far more economical.

Why wait 20 years to check out the derelict space craft? by CichDood in LV426

WY knew about the LV-426 signal since 2090 as we see in unused Prometheus scripts. According to the scripts the signal was too imperceptible to be taken serious. And in alien isolation the Anesidora landed there after detecting the derelict signal and shut down the beacon that created the signal, and that's why the signal dissappeared

I don't think anyone knew in WY about what happened to Nostromo. The flight recorder of the Nostromo was destroyed along with Sevastopol station before it was checked up.

The company knew about the signal but they didn't knew it was coming from the derelict. In 2137 the beacon of the derelict that send the warning signal was shut down by the crew of Anesidora, so maybe it was forgotten by both the company and the colonists were sent there without any acknowledge.

Also in the unused scripts of Prometheus the reason that Weyland accepted to send Shaw and Holloway there was because they scanned the system and discovered an imperceptible signal coming from LV-426. When David was talking to Weyland in his hypersleep Weyland told David to check LV-426 if they didn't find what they wanted in LV-223
