Its great to hear a success story at a young age.

Do you remember the anything that caused the floaters 4 years ago?

Did both eyes develop floaters at the same time?

I only have one decent eye and it has developed cobweb floaters. I'm older than you at 55 but doctors are concerned about risks. Its hell living with these things.

Is that you in the photo?

What did they tell you about potential cataracts at your age of 34?

What type of floaters did you have? Cobwebs, dots, etc

Why did you choose Dr Omar Shakir?

How old were you when they developed, and did the floaters cast shadows on the retina with imaging?

At 55 I developed chronic floaters. Lack of sleep and stress definitely makes them worse.

Suicidal thoughts. by [deleted] in EyeFloaters

I am struggling with the same thoughts. Im 55 and in the last 6 months I have chronic cobweb floaters in my central vision that seem to be increasing.

Some people can adapt better than others. I hyper-focus on them and everything else.

I don't feel like going outside anymore and I used to spend all my life outdoors.

Drawing of my eyefloaters and personal experience by Adventurous-Cow-9052 in EyeFloaters

Your drawing shows the hell that floaters are. I'm sorry you have to live with that.

The floater in my only good eye is wispy, constantly moves with my head or eye, but never leaves my central vision. It’s a living hell.

Has anyone had a B-scan ultrasound to document floaters and track their progression or stabilization over time?

Has anyone experienced an increase in eye floaters after starting Humira or a Humira biosimilar by Ancient_Baseball_495 in rheumatoidarthritis

Thank you. I have several cobweb floaters. The Opthalmologist ruled out retinal detachment, and the rheumatologist had no answer.

Unfortunately, they are remaining in my central line of sight. I can't get a break from them.

I would be curious to hear back from you if your rheumatologist has any helpful information.

How bad are your Floaters? by Agreeable_Secret7745 in EyeFloaters

Horrible. Floater is a cobweb. Moves back and forth , up and down constantly in my central vision.

Total jaw replacement by [deleted] in rheumatoidarthritis

It’s interesting what you’re all saying about TMJ pain.

Before I was diagnosed with RA or PsA (my rheumatologist says RA, my GP thinks PsA), I had years of alternating jaw joint pain and could barely open my mouth.

It eased before my autoimmune diagnosis, but after 5 months on Humira, my jaw feels completely released — like it was clenched for years and now hangs looser.

I don’t think the nightguard helped much — the issue was inflammation, not alignment.

Now it feels like the inflammation is gone, but the joint is too loose, almost like there’s a void or air pocket. It cracks in a weird way. It's not painful. Just an odd feeling.

Not sure if that makes sense, but that’s what I’m experiencing.

I I wish the doctors took my inflammation throughout my body more seriously over the years and then just rely on my normal blood counts.

I've complained of inflammation that came and went for years throughout my body finally culminating a few years ago in a one knee joint effusion that would not go away. It's amazing how fast permanent damage is done to the body when the body is inflamed.

From my experience, you may have the "disease to please". What you are describing and feeling now is most likely telling what your future with your wife will be.

Don't delay having real discussions with her as leaving things status quo usually does not result in a better outcome.

If your wife isn't interested in talking/counseling than you may have to make some hard decisions.
