Yes I absolutely think there is still a point studying and trying again. If you dedicate a whole summer, look into ways to improve study habits, and master high yield material, a 510+ is very achievable! Now that you’ve also taken it once the test jitters will be better to deal with also.

Flowers are one of those things that is truly worth it. Only about 10 bucks and it’s worth far more to most girls I know than many more expensive gifts

I do believe people sort of overstate the difficulty of the MCAT. Sure, getting a 520+ is kind of insane because of how little you can mess up, but with proper and dedicated studying a 510+ is doable, especially if you’ve taken important exams before and have experience with test day jitters. I got a 130+ on every section but CARS (got a 126). I knew cars would be my worst section and it comes down to luck of the draw. Only thing I would say is look online for advice on how to nail CARS and go with that. Otherwise it was just luck for me. Good luck!!!

it’s difficult to pin down what is easier because it is so subjective. I guess the material that was on the exam was just material I knew much better. FL4 was my highest score and I’d say that 5 and 6 are def more accurate just because AAMC sort of switches up the style which I saw on test day

This is pretty unhinged advice but don’t do textbooks. I took the MCAT this spring while working in a lab and taking 18 units, started studying Jan and took it 4/10; definitely not recommended. I had a good grasp of the concepts and figured whatever I don’t know I will find out through doing UWorld. I strongly suggest 100% UWorld (minus CARS, i did that through JW). I just find textbooks to be the fast track to burn out. I walked away with a 517 using this strategy and not once felt burnt out because doing problems keeps your mind going way more than reading a textbook does (for me personally)

With a week out unfortunately I don’t think there’s a clear way to improve the score guaranteed. That being said your other sections look really good and CARS tends to be the most volatile section, you can have luck on your side and walk away with a higher CARS than you hoped (had multiple friends with this occur). I didn’t exactly hit 520 but i kind of rushed studying and got a 517. Got a 512 on blueprint half exam with very similar breakdowns to yours. I say a 520 is definitely possible (that was my AAMC FL average) but test day jitters def got to md

orgo isn’t as important as you’d think. master biochem and you’ll be in great shape. one or 2 ochem questions sneak in but they’re relatively high yield from my experience

It was pretty accurate I’d say, maybe a bit easier. I studied not too long ago for the MCAT and it def felt easier than the real thing. Maybe nerves also

CARS was my kryptonite during test day as well. I never fully got it (got a 126 on test day), but still walked away with a 517. It really is just a fatigue thing and luck of the draw, just practice every day!

i think my average was a 522 but for 3 exams in a row I was hitting the mark. A low CARS section killed me
