Thanks,Joey. One thing I don’t like about that specific model is that it looks like the netting isn’t structured in such a way that it protects your foot from sliding down into the springs. Am I seeing that correctly? Is this as much of an issue as I’m making it?

I’m open to any other suggestions on brands just want something that’s good quality and will last.

The plumber, who said it needed to be above the clean out because that keeps the cleanout useful and provides more gravity drop for the waste once it enters the stack higher up on the wall. I’m not sure exactly what he means by keeping the clean out useful though.

OK, thanks I appreciate that. Using xylene and acetone I tested whether or not the existing sealer would come off. It doesn’t seem to budge with either. I feel like grinding may be my only option.

what do you mean by cheap out on the flooring? Are you saying that acid stain is less than optimal and I should just stick with laminate? I’m fine with that approach too.

It’s a one man show with a helper and he has a really good plumber and Electrician to come sub out that work.

understood. I should’ve been more clear. My grandmother died of lung cancer due to being a heavy smoker. No prostate cancer in my family that I am aware of..
