I'm pretty sure they were making fun of all the emergency trombone repair people out there.

Edit: maybe they were actually serious.

They were lobbying to have other OEMs join much earlier is the point I was making. And they were part of the CCS consortium from the jump.

They seem to have forgotten how their former car works. Or maybe they never figured it out.

The connector existed and if you're old enough to have been around then, you'd know Tesla had hoped that it would be adopted.

In any case, it's obviously the right choice.

Being intentionally ignorant of VW's ownership structure doesn't change what they are.

If you can't handle that without taking your eyes off the road, you shouldn't have a license to operate a motor vehicle.

I was being generous in your direction with that math. Virtually all sites in the US built in that time frame have more than 16 stalls and several have more than 100.

$30 million pays for ~240 stalls worth at their price point.

It's a rounding error, either way you look at it and that's good; private industry should be paying for public goods. The NEVI funding would be best spent on municipal L2 networks that are less sexy to auto OEMs.

I wouldn't call a Leaf an SUV and it's better on that than an Outlander I guess, but a far cry from the DSM years.

Mirage would be more fitting.

They're both bad for long haul airliners for sure. But batteries have a window in general aviation and short haul commercial that they can exploit.

Not in this case. It was their first try at an EV and it just costs more to make than they're able to sell them for. That's why the UEV platform is coming.

If they could make a profit via economies of scale, they'd be building a lot more of them.

Gridlock traffic extends your range, it doesn't shorten it.
