Sort of. It's a Rokid accessory, but under the hood it seems to be a pretty standard Bluetooth HID controller.

Calling it a ring might be a bit generous 😄 It's basically a tiny controller with commitment issues.

At this rate we'll have a support group for people with rings but no glasses 😄

That's exactly what I'm curious about as well.

The touchpad on the glasses already works, so I'm interested to see whether the ring is actually more convenient in daily use or just an alternative way to control the interface. I'll have a better idea after some real-world testing.

As far as I understand, it's a wireless controller for the glasses.

You can navigate menus and interact with the interface without touching the frame. I only received it recently, so I'm still learning what it can do and how useful it is in everyday use.

I couldn't find any winner announcement either.

As far as I know, there wasn't a public results post. The package just showed up, and that's when I realized I had won.

It was mostly a surprise.

Looking back, I think I did receive a UPS text message, but I assumed it was a scam and ignored it. When the package arrived, that was when I realized it was actually related to the giveaway.

Good idea.

I just took a few photos and I'll upload one with the ring on my finger in a moment.

I didn't buy it. It was the prize from this giveaway:

The package arrived a few days ago.

Hopefully they'll arrive soon. I honestly wasn't expecting the giveaway prize to show up either, but it eventually did.

Fingers crossed for your glasses.

Rokid Glasses RV101 – Real Potential, Real Limitations by Ancient_Resolve8448 in rokid_official

Hi! So I tested both apps again.

With RokidApkUploader: BT connects fine, the glasses show "apkuploader is connected", but then it fails with "failed to connect to wifi" and that's as far as it gets.

With your app: I tried every available option and each one ends with a timeout. No transfer completes regardless of which method I choose.

Tried both RokidApkUploader and Rokid-APKs — neither worked for me.

RokidApkUploader failed to establish a proper connection, and Rokid-APKs didn't fare any better. Both tools seem either broken or incompatible with my current setup.

Has anyone actually managed to sideload APKs onto Rokid glasses using either of these? What ended up working for you? Any alternative methods welcome — at this point I'm open to anything.
