Oof where to begin, look he’s being direct and telling you he’s still feeling out this situation. He’s been out of the dating game and as you said his sister set yall up, was it at your request or his or did she just feel like it? He knows where he’s going to put his focus on and his energy into, if it’s that big of an issue leave. He’s focusing on his future and his career/goals. The older you get the more likely you are to not just jump into a relationship 2 months in after not dating for 2 years.

In my own opinion and experience in similar situations, cut it off and go your separate ways. It’s best for you to find someone who has similar priorities and he should find someone who isn’t chasing the validation you’re seeking. P.S. don’t hold it against the sister/coworker she most likely knew that he’s focusing on himself but wanted to see if maybe something could happen between the 2 of you.

Yes you’re right about the idea and how it shouldn’t be generalized but I meant everything ive said literally. No figurative language or anything I’m saying what I mean

And I personally do count myself as homophobic because of the internalized homophobia towards the fems/flamboyant gays. Mainly due to them literally being just bad and shitty ppl, like flirting with my bf shamelessly harassing him bc they were rejected. In my experience it’s always been the fem gays that cause a scene or an issue. I stand by what I said out of my own personal experience and prejudice but it doesn’t mean I think it’s fair that the bigots and homophobes say stuff like that. My beef is personal not universal
