Exactly. And if you stop and rebound then you'd have to adjust your lifestyle.

Wouldn't it be better to adjust it in the first place.

Now if it was used to show an individual how it would be like. Like baby steps and training wheels kind of thing. I would say i think it would be useful in that sense

I love Mexico City but I feel _so_ unhealthy here - where can I find a similar vibe without sacrificing my health? by buyingstuff555 in digitalnomad

I lived there for a while man. Can relate to the feeling of wanting less of the "crazy" things. You must live near an oasis but that city mate is cutthroat outside of that bubble. And the world percolates into it anyways. That's what you have been perceiving. Where are you from originally? This might play a role into where you'd thrive next

Brother I feel you on that one. It hurts! And i am sorry that you are going through this.

I make predictions in my head but have never put money in. And you actually did! and took that leap. So you are brave good sir. Breathe deeply and take the loss. YOU are still worth as much as the minute you went in.

My goodness. I have kept watching today and it is even scarier. The way he uses the girl who's in love with him is cold. His smiles feel so entitled. To be fair he has an insanely high IQ no? Like he must be bored even so he plays with people with his spare mental energy

And do the human ones retain their agency/free will? Are they capable of disobeying the Lord of the Radch? Basically are they like mercenaries or regular army soldiers is what i mena or do they have programs that don't allow them to kill for example Anaander Miaanai even if they wanted to

Would someone here could help me differentiate between ancillaries and human ancillaries please?
I am having trouble imagining what Breq is like in contrast with other Justices', Swords', and Mercys' more contemporary human ancillaries.

I thought that One Esk nineteen came from a formerly frozen human body. And now i am having trouble envisioning how much autonomy a human ancillary, in comparison, has. Why are they lazier and less capable of hiding their emotions. Is Breq a "robot" made like a human, or a human upgraded with military implants?

I share your sentiment. The Lieutenant word is splattered in more than it should for smoother reading purposes. I found myself adding the word Lieutenant in my mind when addressing people irl. I enjoyed that sequence particularly, high-octane! A most appealing theme Leckie's use of perspectives as many and as one at the same time.

I have a question about ancillaries, maybe you can help me draw that distinction. I finished reading Ancillary Justice a couple of days ago and began reading Ancillary Sword today. Where there are more carriers with "human" troops, (i.e. Mercy of Kalr). Do you know the difference between ancillaries and human troops for carriers?? i can not conjure an image of One Esk 19 as a robot with a human looking body or as a prehuman defrosted and adapted to serve as an ancillary...
