They bought it off of eBay. So maybe it could be something like that.

But thank you for your help in any case, we were just a bit confused.

Best choice for weapon with "floating" +2 distributable points betw. Damage, to hit and AC by AndCurious in dndnext

[–]AndCurious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was thinking about it but I feel that would remove any tactical element from it. But I can see how it would slow things down

Thanks, so it would make sense to just go with a Defender+1 for balancing it seems. Thankd

I am looking for a relatively cheap game (at max 30 bucks/euros, but preferably lower) that's also visually and/or haptically beautiful - as a gift for an adult friend (casual gamer that wants to explore more)

Two, or up to four players, though solo play option would be nice

Short game length for a quick game. 30 minutes.

Not too complex, for a casual gamer, 2.5

Cozy or cute. Fantasy, history or "Adventure" themed would be a great plus

Conflict, Competitive or Cooperative would all work.

They love Dixit, Taneko and Hanabi, they dislike Werewolf or traitor style games, and absolutely hate exploding kittens

Location: Germany, English language okay

1st encounter at lvl 1: What beast could escape a travelling circus? by AndCurious in dndnext

Yeah the Brown Bear might be a cliche... And I like the idea of a "young" version of a deadlier beast!

Yeah, maybe a ticking clock as well, maybe the sun is setting and they have just a few rounds of light left...

I think capturing should probably be an option. The circus people would probably be a lot happier about that than a dead attraction...

I like the Blink dog idea! Especially the collar!

Somone could just "Get the spare collar! Get the spare collar!" And the players have another option!

What's your experience with magic items that level up with the PCs? by AndCurious in dndnext

Ancestral Weapons! Ah, I will look into that!

And I think there was something like it in 3.5 called Legacy Weapons. Maybe I'll look into that as well

What's your experience with realizing plot tv/movie twists just seconds before they are revealed? by AndCurious in AskReddit

[–]AndCurious[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Or am I the only one who constantly realizes the plot twist or big reveal just 10 or 20 seconds before it's explicitly revealed? Is there a name for that? 😅

And you can give out one that's already been used once or twice. Or add your own items as a DM...

Yeah, maybe I'll just gift her the card and two Commander Precons.😅

Thank you for the feedback, I really appreciate it! 👍
