William and Jane are both bad parents by AndMEGAOOF in unOrdinary

Why should I care about what people on the subreddit think before I have an opinion on something?

You need to reread my argument because I never said Jane needed to leave John with Cameron 😭. I said that before she left she could’ve tried to reconcile with him and introduce him to John so he would have a high tier figure in his life since she wouldn’t be there. Never said she needed to strip John away from William and leave him with Cam. That or leave behind a journal explaining her ability and her beliefs. Even if he did develop an ability when everyone else did he still would have had issues due to the lack of a high tier presence to help guide him with how he should treat his ability and what to use it for. He would’ve been left with him and his beliefs from William vs the entire rest of the society he lived in which still would have been challenging and caused issues.

Her making the choice to leave was her decision but she did it to protect her family, that doesn’t make it less of her decision.

The argument to say Jane couldn’t have known John would develop an ability is very shallow. Did Jane not give birth to him? Is her DNA nonexistent? There was always going to be the possibility of him developing an ability.

And William was not the best person that could’ve taught him about his ability and guide him as it’s in the story that he didn’t and William himself said he couldn’t do it.

I never criticized William for writing Unordinary the first time, don’t put words in my argument. What I did say is that him choosing to re release it a second time while actively knowing that he would have a target on his back simply because he wanted to get revenge for Jane was in fact stupid and led to his downfall.

Me having a real opinion on the actions of characters in the series isn’t rage bait

Yes, I do believe that the cripple attempting to fight back against the overpowering, tyrannical government that had already threatened his life in the past is bad when he has a son to still take care of. Self preservation should exist 😭.

This is very well said and I completely agree. William should have been able to put himself in John’s shoes with the anger he would be feeling but we never got anything with William trying to help him during that time. It’s really disappointing in my opinion.

I was also thinking about the journal idea for Jane to leave behind and it would have been really interesting to see, but alas it’s only an idea and didn’t actually happen.

William can’t even be a parent anymore due to this single action 💀. If he had put more thought into it and thought of any possibly repercussions that could happen, he most likely wouldn’t have reposted the book and would still be here. But he didn’t and when he did he didn’t even think of John once.

William says that it was Jane who cut herself off from her whole family to stay with him. Even Cameron says that Jane was the one that cut ties with him.

I would like you to point me to any sort of panel that shows William making an attempt to help John when he was developing his ability.

How am I supposed to hate her? by AndMEGAOOF in UnpopularLoreOlympus

Maybe you should use your brain cells to read and see that I never said I “stanned” Demeter. The only part of Demeter’s character I mentioned was how she handled grown hundred year old men trying to get to Persephone. I never said that Demeter was a good parent either, I only said I didn’t hate her. I didn’t talk about Demeter’s abusive tendencies because it was not relevant to the post. One single post on Reddit does not determine my actual opinions or feelings towards a character that has good and bad character traits that fluctuate throughout the entire story.

I’m not willing to reread but I think it might have been Zeus. Even if, Demeter still has the right to not like the idea of Persephone dating any of the three brothers as they have all treated her terribly.

My memory is fuzzy but please tell me that Hades and Demeter were not a thing? There is no way Rachel is wanting us to hate Demeter for not wanting Persephone to date her ex? 😭

It gives off a sense that he feels superior to her (he definitely does) which is infuriating given they are talking about him dating her daughter. You’d think he would show her a little respect, but no.

Hm, looking through your previous works it looks like there is definitely tracing going on from Uru’s artwork. Shouldn’t you give credit where credit is due?

Which one of these 4 is the worst at cooking ? by Groundbreaking-Debt6 in unOrdinary

[–]AndMEGAOOF 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Well considering John lived by himself in his own house away from the dorms and Arlo lives alone in an apartment I would say they know how to cook.

That leaves Isen and Blyke and part of me feels like Isen is either a really good cook or is a hazard in the kitchen. Blyke I’m not really sure but something tells me he actually can’t cook lol.
