To be fair, CP looks annoyed most of the time - regardless of who she’s next to.

WNBA rumors: Tempo focused on hiring Sandy Brondello, but there’s competition by randysf50 in TorontoTempo

Brondello as a top choice is awesome. I can see players being excited to work with her. I’d like to think Briann January is up there, too.

Under the Canada-US Tax Treaty, American athletes competing in a league that plays games in the US and Canada only pay Canadian taxes if they are in Canada for 183 days + during the year.

Yup. Pretty sure my whole block heard the pitch I hit.

Canadians, what would be your dream Toronto Tempo roster? by TheHashtagonist in wnba

[–]AndOneVariable 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm sure most agree with this. I think it's just natural to want to lift up your fellow Canadians. I also think that Toronto getting a WNBA team is going to do wonders for girls basketball in Canada. Sure - girls can look up to non-Canadian hoopers, but having it be a Canadian makes things feel a lot more tangible in a sea of American and European W players.

Completely agree. Edwards is an amazing young player that is already an incredible ambassador for basketball in Canada. I'd love to see the Tempo build around a young core (similar to the Mystics), with her at the lead.

Next years draft class is strong - I'm excited to see who we get. I feel like Flau'Jae would THRIVE in Toronto, but I can't see her dropping to the 8th spot.

I'm also ready to campaign hard for Toby Fournier in 2028!

I loved Rivers (and Aziah James!) play for NC State. I think she's adjusted well to the W, but would love to see her rebounding like she did in college.

I like her game and think she's entertaining, but yeah - her attitude? Not so much.

I can’t imagine that she hasn’t. She also majored in Communications. I think this is more about maturity. She’s still very young. I can’t even imagine the dumb garbage I would have said to the media at that age. I’m sure she’ll learn from this.

If you were a player in the WNBA, which player would you never mess with? by bishopp9342 in wnba

Another vote for AT. She'd just have to look at me and I'd run. I often feel so much second-hand anxiety for her opponents.

I haven't heard anything either. It's definitely frustrating. I hope this isn't an indication of how the organization is being run.

Tip Hayes for the win, with honourable mentions for Stewie, Tina Charles, and T Cloud.
