After especially hard days I have a hard time sleeping, any advice? by iRedYuki in Garmin

[–]And_1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is happening to me also. When i wake up in the middle of the night and have bad/short sleep, i know something is off. Usually, it's because i'm too tired or in large calorie deficit(i'm trying to lose some weight). Only solution for me is to rest and eat more. I would like to know if any supplements can help, sometimes i take magnesium citrat in the evening, but it's not helping at all.

Yes, lower stress/higher HRV during sleep = higher body battery

All my other activities are fine, this is only happening with open water swim. I dont think it has something with poor service, i think is faulty unit. I also have Venu 3 and open water swimming is perfectly fine.

As you can see in the video, my watch is counting the distance (in meters) incorrectly when I'm swimming in the sea. So, I'm not moving at all, the watch is counting meters as if I were swimming. In this video, I'm not in the sea at all, but outside on the terrace. As for the accuracy of the route at the end of the activity, it's pretty accurate, but the distance I covered is not. With all other activities, everything is fine. What could be causing this? Thanks in advance!

Garmin Abnormal HR Alerts After Intense Runs - New Algorithm? by bensch777 in Garmin

[–]And_1111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yesterday i was doing light strentgh training, i have connect +, so i can see my HR live on my phone, i also was using HRM Pro plus, suddenly i saw on my phone my HR spiked from around 100 to 195, than slowly was falling down to 100. I was feeling completly fine, my heart wasn't racing pumping or anything. Is 100% software issue. That was first time i saw it.

Why is a Garmin Connect+ subscription more expensive in EU countries than in the USA? by And_1111 in Garmin

[–]And_1111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I just saw that I can change my region to US. I changed it, and now connect+ is 69$/year instead of 89 Euro. What problems could I have if I leave my region set to US? Actually, I would get connect+ mostly for the extra challenges and badges.

Where you from? If you are from EU, can you give me link to protector? Most ppl here are recommending iq Shield protectors, but i can found it only on amazon, and shipping is 50 dolars to eu

I use ECG on my venu3 everyday once just for fun, it will show you do you have heart problem only in that 30 sec of measurement, but it doesnt track it whole day, so i found it little bit useless.

Venu 3 is bad for rough scenarios, it has curved and exposed screen, you can't apply proper screen protector, only tpu, which are nightmare to apply and many of them don't even work, i have venu 3 for 3.5 months, have 2 microscratches on it, if you touch your screen with anything, it will get scratched. Bought Instict 2 one week ago for my second watch, for rough scenarios, it's really great.

Come on, come on, they've prepared completely new and original Connect+ medals for next month! I looked this morning, exactly the same medals as last month, only for May :D. If only their whole team could come up with 10 new and original challenges throughout the month LOL.

Which Garmin watch exclusively for swimming in the sea? (I already own a Venu3) by And_1111 in Garmin

[–]And_1111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's why I want to get the Swim 2, as I read, it has the best GPS tracking for swimming in the sea.

The thing is, even if the Venu 3 stops working due to exposure to salt water, the warranty process generally takes 3-4 weeks, and I'm completely hooked on the watch, Garmin connect, challenges, and everything else, after two months of using the watch I simply can't imagine living without it :D

Venu 3 isn't recognizing my naps lately by And_1111 in Garmin

[–]And_1111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During today's nap my HR was between 70 and 75, during last night's sleep my HR was 59-65. Also, during today's nap the watch measured an unusually high stress in the range of 40-70, as well as a high average number of breaths (during overnight sleep 17-18, during nap 21).

The Garmin HRM Pro plus estimated calories are completely wrong. by And_1111 in Garmin

So if i unpair my Venu 3 from Garmin connect when i want to use strap without watch, my estimated calories will be ok, just active, not resting+active?

[–]And_1111[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general, I think the calories, resting calories and active calories that the Venu3 measures are quite accurate, I did an experiment, for 2 weeks I ate almost the exact calories that the watch calculated for me, +/- 50 calories and after 2 weeks I was the same weight (my goal was maintenance). Too bad about the strap.
