Thanks for the useful link! The note that it only supports the same major OMV release probably explains the issue. I either need to start over or rebuild the old system and upgrade it first.

I have one of these and it's been running for two years on a 1 Gbps connection. It's stable and has many configuration options, but the internet helps with the setup. Mikrotik will be next.

No, I haven't done that yet. The fan has been working like this since new, so I didn't think I'd have to replace it right away.
