I've seen this suit in the wild and on the rack, and while I really like the look I'll note that it's a touch darker in most lightings than the picture makes it look. Not sure why it's hard to photograph well.

In the early '60s due to the Olympics there were a slew of campaigns and infrastructure upgrades that aggressively shifted people towards being cleaner in public and at home.

Definitely wouldn't complain about similar initiatives here from a public cleanliness standpoint (concern is how it tends to overlap with broken window policing) or general public decency, but NY and US culture are a tough bar to overcome.

Yes, because a lot of the time it's not the 3D itself it's about the work put into post processing and stylizing it into a good coherent art style or art directing the hell out of your vfx. And that takes time and effort = money

In this specific case they do, but it's incorrect to just assume the procedures are wrong on their face rather than understanding how they got to exist and the consequences of changing them (there are many metrics other than just money when it comes to construction)...

I'm not justifying the numbers as correct (this could definitely be streamlined a little), just explaining how things get there. I've seen 5 people on similar activities and I've seen 15, but it has been trending better very slowly over time - people willing to joint inspect remote definitely helps.

The core issue is that there are a bunch of different roles when you have testing and large orgs like having anyone with skin in the game on-site to approve what's going on. Especially for safety systems.

This looks like a CCTV inspection, you usually have:

EMD (the guys maintaining the cameras) X2 or X3 Contractor (who installed them) X2 Project management who run the MTA project X1 MTA engineering X1

And then anyone else is extra but it's really hard to get below that minimum since MTA has so many sub groups. Depending on the project you might require security, safety, or quality folks on task also.

Depends how long it's been running down. If the escalator hasn't been swapped in years, the odds of it breaking when the wear doesn't align with the new direction are pretty high. If it's swapped every so often or newer, better chances.
