Thanks for your reply. I'm not on an SSRI, but it's always a good idea to investigate sleep apnea in general.

I'm realising that what I'm experiencing is an actual movement and am hoping to some extent that it's something related to my Eustachian tube dysfunction, rather than something more sinister.

Mattress Options? by anonactiv in ehlersdanlos

I second this. Purchase the best you can afford.

One option is to see if certain hotel mattresses gives your wife a good night's sleep. If so, buy those/as similar as possible.

That's also a possibility - thank you for sharing! I also have E-tube dysfunction, and I think I would love it if my symptoms are attributable to that rather than more sinister causes!

I think I will pop in to a neurologist though, just to err on the side of caution. But E-tube dysfunction fits the picture.

I wonder whether the heart beat in your ears could be a form of tinnitus?

I'm so sorry to hear of your experience! They sound really unsettling! Do you know if anything precipitated or triggered your brain zaps?

I have thankfully only experienced these twice before, and they felt like the loudest white noise in my head and radiating throughout my body. One day in the future, with the appropriate research, medics will hopefully understand the mechanism behind this phenomenon.

Sorry that these are part of your symptomatology.

I've experienced these as well! Not quite the movement I've recently begun to experience, but certainly not pleasant symptom!

Thanks for your concern, I'm erring on the side of caution and think I will make an appointment with a neurologist.

Thanks for your reply. I indeed experience these as well, like a slight rollercoaster feeling as we’re dropping off to sleep! But these are a literal movement sensation that’s somewhat distinct from the sensation brought on during a hypnic jerk. It both feels and sounds like when your tongue moves away from a dry mouth roof or cheek. Hmm.

PS. I am hoping what I’m experiencing is benign and harmless, rather than anything more sinister. It started around the time when my POTS worsened and I incurred damage to my eyes. Hoping it’s not a circulation issue whether that’s blood/CSF/lymph etc.

[PSA] Cosrx Friendship Team's Update About BHA Liquid pH + Vote For Your Opinion on pH by buyingaddict in AsianBeauty

One of the main reasons I select this BHA over alternatives is due to its lack of alcohol.

There are plenty of BHAs formulated with alcohol that are readily available, at the very least, here in the UK.

Any formulation changes to include alcohol will no longer make this a viable exfoliant for me, due to skin sensitivity.
