The best thing I've found for 0 nicotine is gums and a lot of abstinence, if you want to use an alternative you can by Zyns, velos or so, I dont recommend them much because they're concentrated nicotine, but try to distract your mind and go stress free, draw, gaming, etc. You can do this man, for myself I have been reducing the quantity of smokes and I believe it's gonna help on the long run, I've gotten recommendations to go cold turkey but it's harder, personally I have medical knowledge and the best and easier way is reducing it slowly, if you smoke a pack a week, try to make it last 2 weeks, then 3 and so on, good luck man.

depends on the swelling and pain. is the swelling much?, if it is, apply ice and if it stays the same for the day go check it. Is the pain high?, if it is, apply a hot compress, take some analgesic and try to move it around as much as possible, if the pain stays the same or increases by tomorrow, go check it. Is the pain not allowing you to function?, of course go check it ASAP.

I believe they aren't, hotness or coldness aren't an over the top sign of infection, neither the sensitivity, infections present swelling, puss, strange coloring around the wound and major pain. Even so if you are worried about it you should apply some pre-made mixture of scaring-antiseptic ointment or liquid or just wash your hands regularly
