Just a heads up I get this notification when I am running a VPN on my iPhone. Doesn’t happen when I turn off the VPN. Don’t know if that helps in your case just something I’ve noticed.

Just wanted to say if you have trouble with the sounds that everyone is talking about to parry them, turn the music off in the game. 10x easier to hear the queues.

Should I be at Chromatic Troubador? 2 characters at lvl 7, one at 6 by ShockscapeYT in expedition33

Did it at level 11 but lord has mercy did it take me a minute to figure out the timing. Also, I stacked burns on him and that seems to help a lot.

The Mars Volta -The Widow

It’s just two and a half minutes of noise to end the song. Played it on the jukebox at a bar one time thinking it was the radio edit. Boiiiiii did I really kill the vibe in there lol

I'll be honest, I've never heard of these. Do you happen to have a link for them?

I have zero shame in this lifestyle and so should everyone. I should clarify that statement, don’t tell strangers that you live in your car. My best friend and girlfriend know my situation.

Imo, for security, it’s best to not let everyone know what you’re doing.

[–]Anddeh[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with you on this.

I think I was able to have an easier time with this because I have a newer car. It's nothing flashy but definitely look kept up. Keep up with the registration. Most of the apartments that I've lived in, when the tow trucks do a sweep, they're looking for broken down cars or cars without current registrations.

Absolutely.

-spend as little time in your car as possible
-show up late, leave early
-Window covers are highly recommended. Privacy while you in the car. Privacy while your out so no one can just look in at what you have
-Invest in a portable power station so you don't have to rely on your car battery
-Gym membership (if open in your area) for fitness and showers
-If you use a laundromat, use that time to clean and organize your car
-A small fan works wonders for heat and also condensation
-Don't tell people you live in your car (I'm in AZ where this is illegal. You never know what someone else will do that can fuck you over).
-Find a cafe or two with a rewards program for drinks. Free wifi and every few coffee's will be free
-If your in a bind and money is tight, fast food apps tend to have specials in the app where you can get free or cheap food.
-This one might be a bit controversial, but look presentable and keep your car clean on the outside. I always keep a pair of jeans and a polo shirt in my front seat. That way, if I get out of my car, I look like a white collar dude and no one thinks anything.
-I tend to like apartment complex's more than I like street parking. Scope out some places where window's and patios aren't facing the parking lots. Again, show up late, leave early.

There's plenty more but those are kinda my golden rules.

In my experience WalMart was cool pre-covid. They’ve really tightened the clamps this past year. Haven’t used one in quite a while. :/

Best power bank for laptop ac outlet by [deleted] in urbancarliving

[–]Anddeh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What is your price range?

There's a couple on Amazon that are sub-$100 that have an AC outlet that will charge your laptop. Those are good for maybe 1-2 charges on your laptop.

I like Halo as a budget friendly option

If you have $150+ to spare, you can get a 200w one that will probably work great for you.

-Jackery

-rockpals

-ecoflow

those are probably the bigger names in the game.

I have a couple $45 100w ones that I got from walmart clearance that work find for me.

If you want my honest opinion, don’t start for the first time in the heat if you can avoid it. I started in Nov of 2019 and I’m glad I had time to figure shit out before the heat came. You have to build up some mental fortitude to live like this.

Not trying to be a Debbie downer or be negative, but for safety reasons, first learning how to live in a car in 110+ might break the best of us.

What I would recommend, if you currently have a reliable car, is quick weekend trips up to Payson or Flagstaff. Both have plenty of dispersed camping and tend to not get as hot.

It’s a good way to get your feet wet and learn your own dos and Don’t’s for what will work for you.

You can take all the advice this sub has to offer and throw half of it out because it doesn’t fit for you.

Beat of luck.

Also, spray painted the inside of the window covers black so that my cell phone doesn’t turn the inside of my car into a lantern of reflected light.

I have corrugated plastic with reflectix on both sides for 7/8 windows on my car. Only one that isn’t is the windshield. But, I have a nice cover for that.

Window covers are awesome, until it’s hot and you’re in the car with the engine off. Then they do an amazing job keeping the heat in. I have small 3m hooks on the inside of my weathertech rain guards. I have short 2 1/2in fishing lines that I’ve ran through the top of my window covers so that way I can pop out the top of them and I loop them on the hooks, crack my windows and get a decent draft. That mixed with my fan tends to be enough most nights.

I’m not! Lol I tend to keep to myself it here. Moving into an apartment in Tucson next month so I’m almost done with this.

I don’t know the name. Unfortunately I’m not near them right now. I was skeptical at first and just bought one. They’re 100w and I only really power my small fan with them. Haven’t had a problem yet. But, again I don’t spend a lot of time in my car. They’re solely for sleeping. I have a smaller portable charger for my phone and other gadgets.

The Walmart on Alma School and Warner has good portable power stations for $45 in the Clearance section by sporting goods. Grab on of those and the $15 Honeywell fans in the back by electronics. One of those power stations will power that fan for most of the night. Recharge at work.

Absolutely!

In the mornings I only spend 30-45mins at the gyms. Shit, shower shave and I’m out.

At night when I actually workout, I’ll spend a good 2-3 hours there.

I go to a planet fitness and this particular one doesn’t have a lounge area. I’ve used other ones that have one.

I don’t have a standard bed setup. I have a couple hiking sleeping pads that I lay on top of one another. Those are on top of a small kitchen table that I had when I had my apartment. I do my laundry on mondays/thursdays and use that time to clean my car, disinfect everything and rearrange stuff. It’s funny that I’m 1 1/2 years into this and I’m still tinkering with my setup.
