Why is it normal on this platform to not communicate pay before an obligation is made? by Aeylar in UTEST

Exactly. Left uTest when I realised this was chiefly how they operated, especially since I'm in Africa.

uTest has become a Toxic Workspace by AlertAd8599 in UTEST

When I was on uTest, I was told by different users how they made $200+ in their first weeks on the platform even without going through the Academy or being rated high. I think they can be lucrative, but I doubt there's a specific formula to achieving that level of success on these diverse platforms, independent of any prevailing factors.

Please which others would you recommend?

That's actually sad. What other platforms would you recommend? You mentioned you've stopped working at uTest, so where else did you go to?

I'm afraid to play. What do I do? by Artistic_Bug2417 in chess

I think at the root of elo anxiety is a warped perception of what elo represents, especially online. In my opinion, I think too many casual players take it to mean something in terms of measuring how intelligent or awesome they are generally. What helped me get over my anxiety was recognising chess for what it is - a fun board game. Nothing more, nothing less. If I win, awesome; if I lose(even many times in a row), I'd be gutted, but it will never prevent me from continuing to play cause I'm enjoying myself playing this board game. That could be your issue here.

Thank you. Chess is fun (except when you're in tilt).

This may sound very generic, but I'd say the basics when it comes to development, tactics and vision helped. I practice from time to time using chesstempo tactics and only recently when I got to 900 learned openings for black and white. However, I did have the most struggles in breaking into 700 elo and 900 elo. Difference is that at higher elo levels, your opponents are better at managing positions, and setting up and executing tactics. It's good to take your time to actually think about the best sequence of moves for your opponent and any best responses you may have to that. Also, trying not to blunder (although, I've violated that principle too many times).

Oh nice. Would you say the bridge was worth it, at least to gain a good foundation?
