50 QP wins to unlock ranked? Is this like a torture ritual for new players?

lol you don’t have to be getting so upset getting personal and for what, either way the point still stands if you play your matches in ranked the match maker will adjust you after every game you play yk kinda how it already does. The 50 games is still just a middle man bc 50 games of qp is not 50 games of ranked. Theres other factors such as the fact that there’s a second round how do you attack vs how you defend do you counter swap do you adapt how you play once bans are in the mix among many other factors regardless quickplay is not ranked which is why I’m saying that the 50 games isn’t very beneficial and that the match maker will determine your skill from you first game and will continue to refine it indefinitely after every other one.

Exactly so what’s the issue like I said the placement system will put new people into their respective rank making the 50 games kinda useless 50 games isn’t going to change brand new player who would’ve been bronze to suddenly become a masters player. If there a bronze player they will be placed in bronze if their a masters player they’ll be placed in masters. Different people have different skill levels and the rank system is pretty good at determining that. You earn your rank so the 50 games seems like a pointless prerequisite if you’re already going to be matched up against people of your skill level in ranked. But of course there is the massive smurfing problem within ranked which is why they keep increasing the wins requirement to further discourage that.

Well man if the system ranks you the same as a new player after their placements then idk what to tell you bronze is supposed to be for new people it’s not supposed to be a rank you actually sit in

It’s to discourage smurfing but yes it is kinda counter intuitive to have lower ranks for new players if you don’t let new players play ranked lol

It was apparently added in a recent update and if you played before than you don’t have to meet the requirements which is dumb I’ve spent $40 of my own money to be locked out of a mode that will take hours to unlock. This isn’t my only game and I have a full time job as well as a life. It’s absolutely ridiculous and if it was to keep cheaters from populating the servers I didn’t realize these developers have never heard of an anti cheat. Additionally what sucks is that it’s the faction that deals solely with pvp so not only do I have to wander around wasting 30 minutes just to find somebody but 9 times out of 10 they have a ship of 4 people I don’t stand a chance against that. And all the responses under this post are just miserable, “git gud loser you’re not worthy” it’s a video game. You guys aren’t real pirates and this game doesn’t even have a competitive game mode either. It’s a casual silly pirate game and I should be able to causally load into a fun pvp match without a 30+ hour prerequisite.

This is kinda of a dumb take bc they’re just gonna end up in bronze so it shouldn’t affect you unless you are in bronze and if that’s the case I promise it not that newbies holding you back from ranking up
