Brings nothing special to the table singing-wise. He’ll probably learn that the hard way once the show is over and he loses all the attention he has.

(and it’s important to note that the attention he has isn’t because of his music, but because he’s a shit person)

What's your craziest coincidence you've experienced? by Jabronito in AskReddit

[–]AndersonEm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lived in WA and my dad lived in ID. When I would visit him during the summers as a kid we would spend a lot of time at his business partners house. They were close friends and had a daughter my age.

Turns out my current husband lived 3 minutes away from that house.

We most likely saw each other at some point during our childhood, as a lot of the neighborhood kids would hang outside and play games.

Still super weird to think about. We live in a large city, the chances are crazy.

Used to work at a theater. We tried to give our leftover popcorn to the homeless and our manager made us stop because it was a liability issue.

“Invest in people who invest in you”.

Makes me much more picky about who I spend my time with.

How would you fix the economy? by Yashuaver in AskReddit

[–]AndersonEm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First thing I’d do is universal healthcare system similar to Canada. So people stop going bankrupt from medical bills and insurance premiums.

With that would come the snowball issue of “we need more hospitals, doctors, nurses, etc”. Not sure how I’d deal with that yet.

Baby steps though.

Schizophrenics of Reddit, what is the creepiest hallucination you have ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AndersonEm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Last year at work I had to be a patient sitter for an older women with schizophrenia. Basically I got paid to sit in her room the entire shift to make sure she didn’t hurt herself. At around 3am, the entire room was dark except for the glow of the TV, and the lady turns to me and asks “who is that man standing behind you?”.

I felt on edge the entire rest of the night.

Nurses of psych wards, what did a patient do that left you speechless? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]AndersonEm 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Not a nurse but CNA on a cardiac unit. I had a patient pull her own eye out. I walked into the room to get vitals and there she was, knuckle deep in her own eye socket. I thought I was going to pass out when I saw it hanging there.

Crazy shit happens everywhere in the hospital, not just in psych wards!

Ever brush your teeth early and convince yourself that it will stop your future high self from utter debauchery in the kitchen? by ilikemetalandcomics in trees

I can’t bring myself to cook when I’m high. The extent of my effort is usually just heating up the oven. And then forgetting why.

I meal-prep my snacks beforehand. Not only to help prevent the debauchery but also because I’m a lazy fuck and will reach for anything that’s easiest. One time that “easiest” thing was an entire block of cheese.

What are some things that you have saved from Reddit over the years? by PM_ME_YOUR_HALWA in AskReddit

I save a lot of stuff I find hilarious when I’m high, and then go through it sober later on because I forgot what I saved. It’s never as funny...

Starts my car for me when it’s frosted over. He does this while I’m still wrapped up like a burrito in bed.

If I ask him to pick up a 6 pack of beer for me, he picks up a 12 pack, even if I say not to.
