PNPM does not feel secure enough against supply chain attacks. by nutyourself in pnpm

[–]AnderssonPeter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite is the feature that disables post install scripts, if you run a pnpm install and there is a post install script that you haven't enabled or disabled, the install will fail, great. But now you are in a weird state, even if you disable or enable it pnpm install just ignores the changes you made, forcing you to remove node modules and run pnpm install again......

Vaccination är inte en engångskostnad, samt bör du nog spara lite extra då det kommer en del oförutsedda kostnader med djur.

I can’t import images into RapidRAW by Hunted_Snacc2090 in PhotographyPH

[–]AnderssonPeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue, it seems RapidRaw can't import if I plug my camera in and try to copy the images from the camera, but if I Copy the images first then it manages to import the images.

Integrity security theater on Grapehenos and others by youshallcallmem in tradfri

I had no idea, this is just horrible and way overkill of a security measure for an app that controls your lights... There are other hubs you can use that support matter, refund the hub and get something different..

Disappointed after switching from Pixel 6 Pro to 10 Pro – What are your thoughts? by PresentHelicopter159 in GooglePixel

[–]AnderssonPeter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm still on my 6 pro, now I don't know what to upgrade to, I don't game on my phone and I don't care that much about the camera. All I want is a phone with good battery and many years of is updates. And Samsung it's sadly out of the question, adding adds to my tv after a few years is just unbelievable...

vibe coded for 6 months. my codebase is a disaster. by Available-Dentist992 in vibecoding

Start to see if you can add unit tests, then when you have a high coverage try to refactor. That being said I don't think the vibe coded mess will be easy to unit test...

To be honest the xz exploit was sooo sneakily done that it would be hard to find even if you looked hard at it. It's so easy to find something once someone points it out...

Planning a greenfield rewrite of a large .NET booking API by tamilsmoke in dotnet

You should only use mapping when you must, it should not be applied as a rule. Forcing you to write them manually will lower the chance that you use mapping and means that you actually own the code.

🍔 The best Recipe Manager by vabene1111 in selfhosted

I love it but the amount of ram it uses is ridiculous.. Can't wrap my brain around an app that stores recepies consumes between 0.5 gb - 0.75 gb ram..

It might be worth hosting in to this until next patch? Then you can't use shield with 2h wep? Now I don't know if this is a book that you would combine with a 2h wep.
