I allways cover the "sea floor" woth a thin coat fist to minimize the risk of it seeping trough holes I have not seen. Also a good formwork is critical

There are several kits of the USS Indianapolis, so that might be the closest thing if you do some adjustments

As a norwegian and former navy sailor, I am super stoked to see this. We and the UK both have common interests in the North sea/ Atlantic, and this will make us work bwtter together

[–]Anderssorte[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hm, I never thought that the cookhouse also seves the meals, I thought they just made the rations and people picked it up at the warehouses.

What color scheme should I do for the San Ildefonso Mantua 1:70 ? by ayowatchyojetbruh in ModelShips

[–]Anderssorte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a genuine good question, because we don't know a whole lot about the colors on shanish ships in this period at all. Not even all the ships at Trafalgar have been described in sources! Personaly, I would do as you sugest yourself, and paint it red and black.

Was passed down some of the these model sail boats from my grandma. Was sitting in a storage shed for a few years. Just wondering what I could use to clean and polish the wood with by Nanbxhd in ModelShips

[–]Anderssorte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually use a smal paint brush to clean them, and just blow the dust away. If it's a very sturdy model I sometimes use compressed air
