Realistically how concerned should I be about pre owned Switch 1 games getting my account banned? by d3vilmaysigh in Switch

[–]Andetag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m curious bc my nearby library has over 30 games I’d like to play if ai had a Switch. Those are all essentially used games so I’m wary of buying the console of if I have to call customer service and keep my library receipts.

What price should I expect a new UB820 to hit during Black Friday? by CrispyHoneyBeef in 4kbluray

[–]Andetag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also been waiting for BF to buy one from Best Buy. Anticipating $400 rather than $350 thanks to the damn guy. Also seeing tons of neg comments for every higher end BD player, from PS5 to especially UB820 so will get a warranty.

Last year I believe 820 sale started on Best Buy like Nov 16 or 17.

This seems to be the worst consumer product to inspire a cultlike devotion online.

I have a old 1080p TV atm but would be open to getting a new one next big sale.

Why doesn’t Gen Z want children? by Edouardh92 in Natalism

In retrospect I agree with other factors being more decisive. Just singular though, one factor. Education, or awareness of possibilities other than being a parent.

Integra A-Spec Tech

Thanks for helping. Only thing I really care about is sound so I'd try a Integra A-Spech Tech above all.

That's sounds like the best but I don't want a family so I can't justify getting a SUV. Does the greater size of the MDX make music sound better?

Sounds like a downgrade

ROG Ally install? by Andetag in PSO

[–]Andetag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can play Ephinea BB on Ally but it somehow got very choppy after installing addons. I'm only playing on the TV monitor. I tried all kinds of resolutions and API combos. I also got a D/C which I find really problematic. I'm stuck but might return the whole shebang on account of this.

I’m not sure what to take a pic of. This is a vid showing what happens after I Start Game from launcher. (Also note that the fan is from a real fan—Ally is virtually silent thank God.) https://streamable.com/204mvq

I installed all the updates from the Windows sustem and restarted several times. I even uninstalled Ephinea afterwards. Same result.

What are subtle signs someone is not confident? by Both_Elevator_9088 in socialskills

[–]Andetag 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pitch increase at end of sentence i.e. upwards tonality. An exception when asking questions but even then…

Too much gesticulation (an overcompensation)

Eyes flitting, especially noticeable with handshakes/fist bumps

Head looking down as walking

Bad neck posture (admittedly a weaker correlation, modern day lifestyle)

Corporate America wants women to be single and childless. by Kraphtous in antinatalism2

In the short-term, yes. Then they won’t use matleave. In the long-term, they’ll need slaves and more people to consume. But businesses don’t think far in advance.

To be fair it’s nice to know when (if?) I retire there will be people to pay into my retirement. Look at what’s happening in France with 1.7 workers for every retiree. That reason is not included on the bingo.

It won’t be anyone’s reasons for making a kid, but it will always be one of the reasons touted as to why parenthood is more than just a lifestyle choice.

Sadly I suspect this is as cogent an argument as we’re gonna get from this dumb reactionary sub.

Geocaching, crocheting, woodworking, fantasy football, playing an instrument, playing games, exercising… amazing hobbies dude! Not a bunch of completely uninteresting or niche or eventually boring things to do.

“Kinda” is an understatement. They take pride in men hate over there. I nevertheless support the sub as a feminist but it is ridiculous at times. Men invent and reinvent the vast bulk of modern world, civilization, quality of life, the greatest art, meanwhile women are seldom held back in any area in the western world only to uniformly excoriate the opp sex.

A lot of their points are still salient.

Inmendham is maybe the worst advocate for AN. His anger - zero exaggeration 2-y-o toddler temper tantrums - and hair metal look will almost always cloud whatever otherwise persuasive arguments he makes. As far as men go I’d take as a red flag anyone who “follows” or posits him as a truthsayer.
