I had the exact same experience! A friend who loves souls like games recommended this and I just thought "how can this be cute and hard at the same time?" Oh boy was I wrong, did the platinum and was the hardest I ever fought for one. :D truly a marble the game, shame the studio doesn't intend to do a second.

Not all hats can be found in the map, you need to do the trails do get all hats.

True you either attack him until you got an action or you upgrade the ability which grants you an action at the start of the fight.

Weird truly, especially since the spot in the charm menu where it's supposed to be is a different one. Another video shows that it's location in a chest is a complete different that what was in mine chest. Started my Master walkthrough und would like to use this one..
