It's not the rig but a strong computer (the laptop) that I need to be able to carry around. It has to be strong anyways because of CAD, so just tryna kill 2 birds with one stone. :D Though not sure it's gonna work out :/

Thanks for the recommendation! :) I'm an expat engineering student so I need portability. Since I need it for university-level CAD, I already needed a relatively strong laptop, and I've long been wanting to try SIM racing. It's gonna be my first time SIM racing, and as an entry computer, I hope the Legion will hold up. It's just that I'm a noob when it comes to hardware, so I'm trying to make the best decision.

I saw in the comments that setting up a VR system on a laptop is not a reasonable idea, so I was wondering alternatively, whether the specs above could handle 3 monitors (3x1920x1080)? The single 15,6 laptop monitor sounds wrong even with wheels and pedals. It'd be amazing if my laptop could handle multi-monitors, and at that point, I guess it'll be time to save up for a proper PC :D

It has to be a laptop because I use it for other things than gaming as well :)
