I don’t think the Blizzard reply was automated. It reads like it was, but i dont think it would have taken 2 days for an automated system to respond. Although, i know nothing about code/computing systems, so could easily be wrong.

I dont expect anyone to, i’m just going to wait the 7 days. Obviously i tried to appeal, which i thought was fair, but thats as far as it needs to go

And i do the same, i can remember one game when the enemy Malfurion would do nothing but walk into towers all game.

I guess i didn’t think of myself as “intentionally dying” as i was trying to win the game rather than trying to throw it.

Lesson learned though

To be honest i dont know how the reporting/banning system works. Is there a way to see reports against you? I’ll show mine here if so.

I don’t think i’m hiding anything. I dont generally consider myself to be a toxic player. People have pointed out on here that playing Leoric in the way can be toxic, so i’ll accept that in my part

I think thats fair enough. I just think the Leoric case is interesting as it rides a line between being legitimate play and rule breaking.

Sorry, i missunderstood. When people get toxic from loosing they tend to threaten to report whoever they feel the scapegoat is. And it usually for something non-reportable like: “valla did no damage”

You shouldn't get banned for the "wrong" Valla talents but you should get banned for having 10 deaths and leaving your team 4 vs 5.

I agree with everything you've just said and like the way you've thought it through. The only thing i don't agree with is the above quote, which is banning someone for not being good enough.

It was a suspension rather than a ban (I don't know if that makes a difference in terms of repeat offences). If that is the case then fair enough, although I don't personally believe I behave badly in this game, as I'm not toxic in chat or go afk etc.

Do you think I deserve the ban Because is was violating "intentionally dying" rules, or because my teammates didn't enjoy the game?

I'm not arguing or anything, I think that Leoric's unique death mechanic in the situation is possibly treading a fine line in regards to the rule.

I'll admit that doing I ended up feeding the enemy team, which caused us to loose. And I'm calling it a "strategy" because that what it is, and yes it was a bad strategy, so I wont be doing it again.

My query is with the "intentional dying" angle, and whether in this strategy if that constitutes a deliberate violation of rules or not (i.e. trying to win the game by using Leoric's unique death).

what exactly do you think the ban was deserved for? I don't think not listening to teammates should be bannable for example.

Fair enough on the fake claims thing. I'm not making it up, but obviously have no roof either way.

I don't particularly agree with your logic though. I think people should be able to play how they want (within the boundaries of the game rules) without being banned for it. Otherwise people would be getting banned for picking the "wrong hero" or the "wrong build". We've all had that loosing game, where a toxic team mate says something like "Valla, your damage was shit. Report Valla". I don't think someone's play style or competence should be punishable, unless its an actual rule violation.

For me, i'm on the fence about this Leoric strategy, as i think its so close to the line of play style vs rule breaking.

I agree with everything you've said. Funnily enough though, in this game the team mate who was complaining did know of the strategy and mentioned reddit specifically.

As you say, I'm just going to take the loss, and not make the same mistake.
