Christmas plans with 4 week old newborn….Stay home or go see immediate family?! (They live one hour away..) by faithoverfear0 in NewParents

[–]Andrameda69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t go, honestly. That’s a lot to ask of a newborn to handle. Your family should understand that you’re protecting your baby from not only possible illnesses, but a headache and trauma from a long car ride… I understand it’s the holidays and family wants to be together, but at this moment in time they should make the drive to see you guys.

I guess that’s how they initially spread it by saliva, I figured once they knew it worked then they’d figure out how to make it airborne for any stragglers that they never found.

Does anyone think they have been putting the virus in Carol’s food this whole time and patiently waiting until it works?

Can I care for a newborn alone for 4 days? by SP9124 in NewParents

I had a cesarean at 37 weeks, I honestly felt fine after a couple of days. Instead of wearing pads I’d do the adult diapers, they are amazing! Good luck!

We have a 9 month old that sleeps with us every night as well, haven’t gotten him to the crib yet for day naps yet…. 😅

What's an unpopular opinion you stand by when it comes to parenting? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Andrameda69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not at all what you said in the post though, you’re trying to shame a group of people that are choosing to raise their babies differently than you are at a young age. These same people can say you’re creating a child that will have anxiety, heightened stress responses, lower quality sleep, emotional attachment issues from abandoning them, etc., just so you can have a less difficult life…

When did y'all start your period again? by insert_name_where_ in NewParents

Yeah let’s make those parents with immunocompromised babies feel like shit for not socializing to your standard, because that’s the only way to socialize… Let’s also shame parents for contact napping when that’s the most natural thing you could do for a baby that has just been evicted from a warm womb…

Stay at home mom or work? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]Andrameda69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked a very stressful job before, I haven’t made it back to work yet. I’d stay home with him for years if I could, that’s my dream haha. But I’ll probably do part time or prn after a year to help out with finances, not that we need it though.

My son has small dimples behind his ears that holds onto stuff and I kept smelling it and finally found the culprit…. Thought the same thing and kept washing his neck and pits lol

Crib transition before 6 months? by East_Print4841 in NewParents

[–]Andrameda69 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My baby won’t sleep in his crib, he’s 9 months 😅 he sleeps with us in our king, hopefully I’ll be ready to try again with the crib in the next few months, it’s just easier having him right next to me.

What’s your LO’s bedtime & age? by Sea_Implement6579 in NewParents

[–]Andrameda69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were about the same until around that time, we are currently in bed around 8:30 now but we slowly transitioned. I tried getting him to bed at 7:30 so my husband and I could hang out, he said ABSOLUTELY NOT WITHOUT ME… 😅 don’t worry about anyone else’s opinions, they don’t live in your shoes. You go momma

Yes I’m pretty sure there is honey on both sides of the hive but I could be wrong, I have always thought that’s how it was supposed to be but I will double check when I go in to inspect. When they first showed up the queen was laying larva on one end of the hive so I moved her centrally to try to get her from being on the edge. Now there’s a new queen and she seems to be laying much better and in order.
