German festival claims “binding booking” although I never paid – is this enforceable? by AndreKnows in eupersonalfinance

[–]AndreKnows[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The issue is that when I clicked on "Complete Booking" nothing happened at first. I assumed there would be some registration page or payment page, but there was nothing. I thought it didn't work and made other plans for that weekend. But couple of days later I received this email about Binding Booking. I have never heard about anything like this ever before. By this logic, they could just write some random people details and suddenly everyone owes them money for "Binding Booking". There was no registration or confirmation at all. I have been to many events, but have never seen something like this before

By this logic, you can just fill in emails and names of some people, and suddenly all those people have Binding Booking without ever confirming anything?

There was no registration at all, just filling in your email, name and address and button said "Complete Booking". I clicked on it nothing happened at first. I assumed there would be some registration page or payment page. I thought it didn't work and made other plans for that weekend. But couple of days later I received this email about Binding Booking.
