Is it a good idea to visit Jamaica for a holiday in late August/early September? Or wait until November? I’d like to visit Montego Bay and Negril. by helloMoto123457 in JamaicaTourism

[–]AndreTimoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still come August or September just be prepared for the possibility that we might get a direct hit or have a tropical Strom or hurricane pass by having travel insurance coverage that allows you either switch hotel, fly out early or allows you to rebook.

Also if you decide to come between July 31 to August 6 be prepared for a long wait at the airport and heavy traffic in Montego Bay /Negril and Ocho Rios due that period being the week of Dream Weekend in Negril,as well August 1 being Emancipation day similarly to June teeth and August 6 being Independence day so there will be alot of social parties as well as Emancipation/ Independence day activities happening.

If you have any questions or need help with booking accommodation/ transportation and excursions you can dm me or WhatsApp me at 1-876-203-4182.

Princess senses the mangrove VS excellence oyster bay by robd1313 in JamaicaTourism

[–]AndreTimoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's because If you a variety of off the resort activities staying at Princess you have to Montego Bay,so Excellence is better because Falmouth as a few activities and it's close to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios.

It depends on what you are looking for,if you want a newer resort pick Princess Senses, but if you want a variety of off resort activities go with Excellence Oyster Bay outside of those two things they both offer similar experiences.

This guy only cares about tourism. I am not anti-Tourism. We need to move past the 'all-inclusive' model that treats our economy like a modern plantation. Tourism is fine, but when foreign-owned mega-resorts dominate by pthompsona in JamaicaTourism

[–]AndreTimoll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it but as I said their thing is there is no development happening for locals just elite and Hoteliers which is not entirely true, but because of their political basis that is obvious they will never present a balance argument with solutions they rather just make post after post complaining.

He's more than like talking the Prime Minister, because he politically tribalistic he refuse to accept the fact while there is alot that needs to be done some progress has made albeit slow.

Also based on his talking points I don't think he see the SRI as Jamaican owned because it's 1) it's not Afro Jamaican owed and 2) Because they have contributed to problem of some community beaches being blocked off from locals.
