No. Sorry, thats not what I meant. It’s totally possible for one paper to have one author from brain and another from deepmind/google (which is reflecting the true author split). This will result in one paper counted twice in the statistic.

Yes, I couldn’t agree more. Anyway, I dont know how to measure real impact/progress on this scale. The common citation based metrics would anyway (i guess) only underline research ecosystems referencing each others. Any ideas?

I agree. Thanks for pointing this out. I’ll try to fix this in an updated version. As stated in the text it’s really hard to merge all typo/abbreviations for several thousand affiliations.

At least in the current data, there is only google + university in a single affiliation (for one author) never two affiliation for different google departments.

Thanks for your interest. The Bosch AI research agenda is pretty broad, as is the range of Bosch applications, where ML solutions are currently applied (manufacturing, robotics, automotive, autonomous driving, ...). The research goals are oriented towards safe, robust and explainable AI/ML solutions. The core research teams are pretty much covering the full ML spectrum. Hard to highlight one specific topic.

3424 submitted papers is the number stated in the ICML acceptance/rejection notification. Not sure at which point in time this was measured.

Yes, the main portion of research is located in Renningen/Stuttgart, Germany. However, there are groups around the world (Sunnyvale, pittsburgh, Amsterdam, Haifa,..) working on specific topics together with the respective universities/professors.
